2023 Latah Creek Senior Men’s Tournament Schedule

All Senior Tournament participants must have a current 2023 Latah Creek Men’s Golf Club Membership, hold & Maintain a USGA GHIN Handicap Index and be 60 years old or will reach their 60th birthday during the 2023 year.

USGA Rules of Golf: All participants ‘are expected to play in the spirit of the game’, conduct themselves with the highest integrity ‘by following the Rules of Golf & applying all penalties through the course of play’ and to display compassion for all fellow participants. Those who fail to follow this simple request will lose their ability to play in future LCMGC Senior Tournaments.

                                           Tournament Schedule:

All LCMGC Senior Tournaments will be played on a Tuesday.

  • April 18 Individual Stroke Play - Gross & Net (95% handicap)
  • May 9th Two Man Best Ball - Gross & Net (60% low handicap + 40% high Handicap)
  • May 30th Individual Stroke Play - Gross & Net (95% handicap)
  • June 20th Two Man Scramble - Gross & Net (35% low + 15% high)
  • July 11th Individual Stroke Play - Gross & Net (95% handicap)
  • August 1st Two Man Chapman - Gross & Net (60% low + 40% high)
  • August 22nd Individual Stroke Play - Gross & Net (95% handicap)
  • September 12th Individual Best Ball - Gross & Net (60% low handicap + 40% high Handicap)
  • October 3rd Individual Stroke Play - Gross & Net (95% handicap)
  • October 24th Two Man Scramble - Gross & Net (35% low + 15% high)

Posting Scores: Applicable Tournament Scores to be posted to USGA GHIN will be posted for you. Please do not post your individual scores. I will post all applicable scores before the end of the day on each Tuesday.

Tee Times: All Tournament Participants are required to play within the blocked times made available from the Pro Shop!! Your name must appear on the printed sign-up sheet (which doubles as the Pro Shop’s Tee Sheet) whether you call the Pro Shop or add your name in person. The printed sigh-up sheet will always be behind the counter at the Pro Shop.

I will collect the sign-up sheet the Sunday before each Tuesday Tournament! Participants will not be accepted once the sign-up sheet is removed! You will not be able to sign-up Tuesday Morning!

To avoid gaps of tee times on the sign-up sheet, whether this means there are twosomes or open times between foursomes, I will combine twosomes to fill times and move foursomes earlier or later to condense the time gaps. I will notify you via email Sunday night or Monday morning if those changes are to be made and affect the time you originally signed up for. You could help me and avoid this manipulation by signing up as foursomes or if you are a twosome, simply add your names to an existing twosome. Please do not sign-up as a single player for Two Man Tournaments, contact me and together we will try to find a partner for you.

Entry Fees: Each participant is required to pay a $10 (cash) entry fee prior to play. It is greatly appreciated if you bring a $10 bill, $5’s or singles.

Awards: All entry fee $$ will be returned to the field divided equally between Gross and Net. My philosophy for payouts is to simply pay more places to attract more players! For example, our last 18-hole Tournament of 2022, 9-holes chapman & 9-holes scramble, consisted of 15 two-man teams. Dividing the $300 of entries - $150 Gross and $150 Net and paid 5 places deep in each (paying 20 of the 30 players), fifth place finishers received their $10 entry back.

Playing Handicaps: The printed sign-up sheet will be removed from the Pro Shop the Sunday before each scheduled Tuesday Tournament. This is why it is so important that your name appears on the sign-up sheet! Individual and Team Playing Handicaps will be calculated using that Monday’s Handicap Index, converted to our Course Handicap (Gold Tees), then adjusted following the USGA Recommended Handicap Allowance (Appendix C) for each Tournament Format.

Score Cards: Official Score Cards will be handed to you/team once entry fees are paid Tuesday morning. Official Score Cards will display player/team names and playing handicap allowance for the day’s tournament format.

Course Set-up: Course conditions will be evaluated prior to the day of play to determine whether special rule(s) are required; lift-clean-& place, ground under repair…All participants will play from the Gold Tee Markers as they are positioned on the day of play.

USGA Rules of Golf and Local Rules: All Tournament Players will follow the USGA Rules of Golf. Latah Creek does not have any existing Local Rules that deviate from USGA Rules of Golf.
