· Suggestion – Charlie has info from WA Golf and provides breakdown of full, associate and dual members since he already has data.

o Mike Wade to check if this needs to be adjusted in the bylaws.

Tournament Reports:

July 11th 2-Man Chapman

· 20 teams, 40 players

· Paid 7 places

Both tournaments scheduled for 7/15 and 7/29 cancelled due to scheduling conflicts

· Tee times open to the public 12 days ahead. The block of times was not blocked off before this and the County will not allow us to cancel times made from the public.

· Working on solution with Steve Nelke/Trevor Jensen to solve this going forward.

· Possible days to make up tourneys are 8/19 and 9/2. We’d like to offer the make-ups due to feedback from members.

· Motion made by Rick Pavey to add 4-man best ball format on 8/19 that was cancelled on 7/15. Motion seconded by Brian Daniel. Unanimously passed.

Old Business:

· Prepurchase items for Latah Creek Amateur

o Tent, signage, etc. Mike Pavey needs to get with sponsors. Will not likely happen until fall.

· Side games for 2023 remaining tourneys

o Greg Smith to coordinate this as well as putting out tournament flags.

o Contrary to last month, there is a way to do it through sign-up Genius. Charlie would have to bring incremental cash down day of tournament. Credit card fees would come out of cash payouts. Greg Smith to follow up on this process.

New Business:

· Match play

o Things to do differently

§ Schedule as part of tournament season

§ Will revert from low playing as zero to differential

§ Clarify that you can play any tees you want

§ Payout is same for gold and silver. Seek to differentiate payouts favoring Golf vs. Silver.

§ Clarify tie-breaking process

§ Remind to record rounds at Competition scores.

§ Clarify rules on what to post…net par vs. “expected score”

· Other Committees/Nominating committees

o Standing committees include Governance/Nominating, Handicap

§ Governance/Nominating…Mike Wade current chair

· In past, committee would convene in August and field nominations from board and floor.

· Committee could be comprised of board member or any regular/associate member. Mike Wade will confirm # of members of this committee and will revisit at next meeting.

· Over next month, aim to create more members of this committee. Rick Pavey volunteered to take lead.

· Need to establish needs of board needs…open positions for both board positions and committee members.

· Tom Walker has been appointed to tournament committed by Rick Pavey, President

Other:

·

Next Board Meeting at Latah Creek Clubhouse on August 31, 2023, at 6:00pm. Meeting agenda to be posted by Monday, August 21, 2023.

Meeting adjourned at 7:24pm
